Bible Study Verse: Eph 6:10-11Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. NIVThoughts: We've all heard about the destructive capabilities of saltwater environments on our boats, trailers, and fishing equipment. The questions are: Do we flush out are engines? Do we wash, rinse, and wipe off our boats and fishing equipment? My experiences in saltwater environments are that the maintenance is immense.Action Point: Do we realize the destructive forces of Satan? Ephesians 6:12 says: "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."Fortunately, the word of God says that we have available to us, "the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God." Scriptural truth is our primary line of defense. If we are lacking in knowledge of God's truth, we will struggle to fight against the enemy. The more our minds are filled with the truth in God's word, the less susceptible we are to Satan's deceptions and temptations. Are we doing preventative maintenance on our souls? Are we putting on the full armor of God? Are we studying the word of God on a daily basis?Sportsmen's Tip of the Day: Use protective sprays on your electrical connections when boating in salt water. It will prevent corrosion and you will have less trouble with conductivity on all your accessories.
