Bible Study Verse: Matthew 11:29
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find
rest for you souls. (NIV)

Thoughts: I have had some wonderful experiences learning from skilled outdoorsmen from flyfishing, long-range shooting, and backcountry snowmobiling. It’s not hard to be humbled when learning from people much more talented than myself. But what really draws me in is when they impart their time and knowledge and humble themselves with servitude to teach their students all they know, withholding nothing.
Philippians 2:4-7
Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. “Meekness man’s motto. In himself, nothing; In God, everything. The heart of the world is breaking under the load of pride and pretense. There is no release from our burden apart from the meekness of Christ” A.W. Tozer

Action Point: What can you give away today to build someone else up and serve them? Your talents? Your relationship with Christ? Maybe your time and attention. Model the example of Christ and be Gentle and humble in heart and be a blessing to someone today.

Sportsman’s tip of the day: When you see someone struggling, gently offer your help and encouragement.
