Weekly Devotion January 1, 2024

 

Bible Verse: Matthew 2: 1-2 After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked “Where is the one who has been born King of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship Him.” 

Thoughts: The Magi traveled a long and dangerous journey to worship the one who was born King of the Jews. This wasn’t an easy journey but they kept their focus on the star and their goal to worship the King. 

Action Point: Hunters will sit in bone crushing cold temperatures. They will plow through ice, mud and swamps, and they will endure mind numbing boredom just to have an encounter with an animal or bird. How God pleasing it must be when hunters use the same drive to worship the one who was born King of the Jews, Our Savior.
