Bible Study Verse: Ephesians 1:3

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. NIV.

Thoughts: Recently, I went into the field looking for a big whitetail buck to photograph. After hearing that one was frequenting a large greenfield, I set out to catch a glimpse of him. I hid my truck and slipped out to the field’s edge for a while, but I didn’t see him then. When I returned to my truck, I saw the huge buck coming from the forest. He crossed the blacktop road right beside my truck. Fortunately, I snapped a few shots of him there and later in the greenfield. What I thought would be a fruitless evening turned out to be great—my blessing was there at the right time. I didn’t know it till it happened.

Action Point: My life is filled with many blessings. All I have to do is be still and think about them. What about you? Often, we get caught up with worldly things and take for granted the many blessings that are right in front of us all the time. God has blessed us all in countless ways. Take time, get outdoors alone, and reflect on ways the Lord has blessed you. Here is my prayer: Lord, thank you for blessing me in so many ways. I am truly thankful to You. Forgive me when I lose sight of all You’ve done. Thank you most of all for salvation through Jesus Christ.

Sportsman’s Tip of the Day: When trying to get close to whitetails, remember to park your truck or ATV upwind from where deer may be bedded or where they may spend time feeding. Also, park your ride out of sight.
