Sporting Clay Highlights
Our day was off to a good start with sun and no rain. We had a slight issue with these things called misquotes. The day began with a light centennial breakfast and greeting each other. Our devotional thought for the event was based on Matthew 16:15-16. The point of our devotion was do people recognize you as being a Christian.
After
some safety guidelines it was off to the course. The course was a little more
crowded this year, but we were able to move along at a nice pace. The group was
in the 50% range when it came to hitting clay pigeons. After everyone completed
the course and the dust settled, we were back at the club house for a very nice
lunch prepared by J&H. After lunch a number of door prizes were given out
and we had a little for fellowship before everyone headed for home.
A
special note about this year’s event, we had a number of participants that invited
friends and family. Although all of them couldn’t make it was great to see.
