2023 Quetico Fishing Trip
At the beginning of June a small group of MOTO members had the opportunity to travel to the Quetico Provincial Park Canada for a week of fishing and fellowship. The group traveled approximately 30 miles into the wilderness to lakes that are not heavily fished or traveled on by others. The weather was perfect, sunny and breezy most days. The fishing was amazing with almost everyone getting a grand slam at least one day (Grand Slam = 1 northern, 1 bass, 1 walleye, 1 lake trout). Larry Klug caught the biggest fish of the week, a 41.5" northern. With Pete Burton's help they got the northern into the canoe to measure it before releasing it back into the cool water. The group was blessed to have the time together in the wilderness to slow down and remove themselves from the distractions of life. We look forward to traveling to the Quetico next year.
