Ecclesiastes 10:10 Using a dull ax requires great strength, so sharpen the blade. That's the value of wisdom; it helps you succeed. NLT. Thoughts: Every sportsman knows the necessity of having a sharp knife. A fisherman filets the fish. Deer and elk hunters’ skin their harvested animals, then debone and slice their venison. Turkey hunters often breast-out gobblers. Then there’s rabbit, squirrel, duck, dove—the list could go on. You know what I am talking about: after the harvest, you’ve got to have a sharp knife. A dull knife will make a mess of things Action Point: We all need to stay sharp in life, too. Staying sharp Biblically requires regular and intentional engagement in Scripture.
