Bible Study Verse: John 8:11
“No one, sir,” she said. “Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.” NIV
Thoughts: I recently drew for a whitetail hunt in a western wildlife refuge. At the orientation they made it clear “Do not keep any shed antlers. Do not beg your group leader to keep a shed. The answer will always be NO!”. While in the parking lot, my buddy asked me to check out a new set of binoculars. As soon as I put them up to my eyes, right in focus was an elk shed 1000 yards away shining like a diamond. While hunting I found a small piece of elk shed, photographed it for evidence that I had found one, set it down, and walked away forever.
Action Point: As I walked away from the first two elk sheds, I’ve ever found, of course, I’d love to have them sitting on a shelf at home for all to see. Instead, Jesus calls us to leave our sins at his feet and walk away. Living a life for all to see for Him, not those sins we want to pick up and carry that he paid for on the cross.
